I found plans online that gave me the structure for the lamp. I printed the lamp base out of iron-infused plastic. Once the print was complete, the parts were given a bath of hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, and salt to rust the plastic. The lamp structure rusted overnight and was sprayed with sealant to protect the patina. I retrofitted the internals of the vintage lamp to an LED light that still retains its original function, thanks to a custom 3D printed sled inside the lamp.
