These Shining Lives is a heart-wrenching story about the Radium Girls and how their lives were impacted by ingesting radioactive paint during the day-to-day tasks of their jobs at an industrial complex. It's a powerful reminder of the past struggles regarding health and safety when considering the rights of workers.Â
For this show, the Pickerington Central Theatre Department rallied behind the acting studio class and brought new life into the black box theater/classroom. It had been years since a show was performed in this space. We brought in an entire LED light rig, built risers for the audience seating, and designed a small and simple set to help tell the story of the Radium Girls.
